These Terms of Use form the agreement between you and KeepQuest for use of the KeepQuest iOS app. Please also read our Privacy Policy.
By downloading, installing, or using KeepQuest (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Use (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App
KeepQuest is a utility that helps you review and clean up storage-related content on your iPhone—such as similar photos, screenshots, large videos, and duplicate contacts—and includes optional quest-style progress features (daily quests, XP, levels, streaks, and charts). The App may display third-party advertisements. Features may change over time as we improve the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding agreement under applicable law to use the App. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service and any applicable Apple usage rules.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, except where the law allows
- Bypass or interfere with security, permission, usage, or advertising controls
- Use the App for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes
- Remove proprietary notices from the App or related materials
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Decisions to delete photos/videos or merge contacts
- Reviewing suggestions (including Safe Recommend and similar-photo “best keep” picks) before confirming actions
- Maintaining backups of important data (for example via iCloud or another backup)
- Granting and managing iOS permissions needed for features you choose to use
- Complying with applicable laws while using the App
Cleanup actions can permanently remove or alter data. Although the App may offer confirmation steps and a short undo window, undo may not always be available or successful (for example after system Recently Deleted retention expires, or after certain merge operations). Use care before confirming. Automated suggestions are aids only and may be imperfect.
5. Permissions and on-device processing
Certain features require access to your Photo Library and/or Contacts. Processing for those features is performed on your device. Our practices are described in the Privacy Policy. Denying permissions may limit functionality.
6. Advertising
The App is supported in part by advertising provided through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). Current ad formats include interstitial ads at natural pauses (for example when opening a cleanup review or leaving a completion screen) and optional rewarded ads (for example for bonus XP or related in-app benefits).
Core cleanup features—scanning and confirming deletes or merges—do not require you to watch an advertisement. You may still see ads while using the App. Personalized advertising depends on your choices (including App Tracking Transparency where applicable, any required consent forms, and the in-app Personalized Ads setting). Third-party ad networks are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; KeepQuest is not responsible for the content of third-party ads.
7. No account
The current version of KeepQuest does not require a KeepQuest account. Progress and settings are stored locally on your device and may be lost if you delete the App or erase device data.
8. Intellectual property
The App, including its name, logo, design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by KeepQuest or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
9. App Store and Apple
If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:
- These Terms are between you and KeepQuest, not Apple
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for the App
- Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal/regulatory claims, or consumer protection claims
- In the event of a third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights, KeepQuest—not Apple—will be responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge as required by these Terms
- Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, THAT ADS WILL ALWAYS LOAD, OR THAT CLEANUP SUGGESTIONS WILL BE COMPLETE OR PERFECT.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KEEPQUEST AND ITS DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP—EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $10.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless KeepQuest and its developers from and against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Changes and updates
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If you continue using the App after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App and uninstall it.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the App or these Terms if you violate them or if we discontinue the App. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity) will survive termination.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence or, where permitted, the laws of the jurisdiction in which the KeepQuest developer operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.

17. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented in the App or App Store listing, are the entire agreement between you and KeepQuest regarding the App and supersede prior agreements on that subject.
